Obituary

Daniel Boisvert, 65, of Dartmouth died May 16, 2007.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Ernest and Bertha M. (Girouard) Boisvert, he was raised in Acushnet and lived in Miami before moving to Dartmouth in 1980.
Mr. Boisvert was a commercial fisherman. While living in Miami, he was a firefighter with the Metropolitan Dade County Fire Department and a life guard with Metro Beach Patrol.
He was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School where he played Football and Baseball and was later inducted into the Hall of Fame. Mr. Boisvert later played semi-pro football with the Fairhaven Varsity Club and the James P. Murphy Club, where he was voted a member of the league's All-Star team.
He will be missed by many friends and family members who appreciated his fun loving nature.
Survivors include his son, Paul Daniel Boisvert, and his wife Elizabeth, of Palm City, FL; a brother, Thomas Boisvert of Acushnet; a step-brother, Robert Wilcox of Millbrook, NY; a grandson, Paul Daniel Boisvert II of Palm City; and 2 nephews, Jacques Boisvert and Remi Boisvert; he will be missed by his constant companion Marissa S. Miller; and his surrogate children, Carly Marsh of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Nicholas Vaughan of New Bedford.
He was the father of the late Renée Boisvert.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Visiting hours Tuesday, May 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
