Obituary

LORDEN, William F. - Of Boston, formerly of Malden, May 19th. Beloved son of the late John F. and Julia A. (Cronin) Lorden. Uncle of Paul W. Clisbee of Stoneham and Calvin W. Clisbee of Atlanta, Georgia. Longtime companion to Carl Grebe of Daytona, Florida and James Gilboy of Boston. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 315 Main Street, MALDEN on Tuesday morning, May 29th at 11 o'clock. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery, Malden. Expressions of sympathy in Williams name may be made to the Boston Center, c/o Christine Riley, 1245 Centre Street, Roslindale, MA 02131.

Born in Malden, and a resident of Boston for a number of years, William, at 73 years of age, passed away at the Boston Center for Rehab and Sub-Acute late Satuday evening.

President of the Senior Class, Salem College, Class of 1956, he directed the senior musical, "Follies". A graduate of Tufts University with a masters in Psychology and Theater, he was the Junior Tennis Champion at Longwood Cricket Club, taught by the late hazel Whiteman. Prior to his career at Katherine Gibbs, Mr. Lorden taught at a number of high schools on the east coast. He began teaching at Katherine Gibbs in 1971. he was the Chair of the Business Department during the mid 80's. he taught accounting, shorthand and key-boarding. Bill's unofficial title was "Mr. Shorthand". Coordinator of interships from 1995-2000, he was adjunct in Legal Specialties from 2000-2004 when he retired from teaching.
