Emma Ruth Bohannon, 67, of Tifton, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Thomas Bundrick will officiate with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2007, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Bohannon was born on September 2, 1939 in Tifton and was the daughter of Curtis Sullivan and Clara Dauson Sullivan, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith.
Mrs. Bohannon is survived by her husband, James R. Bohannon of Tifton; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Troy and Wanda Landers of Tifton, Wayne and Lori Landers of Columbus, Frank and Teri Landers of Tifton, Jerry Landers and Joseph Camp of Tifton, Steve and Patricia Landers of Tifton and Michael and Donna Bohannon of Tifton; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Tammy Landers of Los Angeles, California, Kimberly Landers and Jesus Perez of Tifton, Melinda and Tommy Wilson of Tifton, and Alice Bohannon of Columbus, Ohio; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Yolanda Sullivan of Deland, Florida, Charles and Betty Sullivan of Tifton, and Wallace and Virginia Sullivan of Tifton; six sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jeanette and Jimmie Stephens of Tifton, Bernice Harvey of Warner Robins, Allene Brewer of Lawrenceville, Joanne and Bob Senecol of Bayville, New York, Joyce and Wayne Mullis of Tifton, and Betty June Griffin of Tifton; 18 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
