TEWKSBURY - Patricia Ann (Wilcox) Boucher, age 66, a former Tewksbury school secretary
and well known member of the community, died Saturday morning, May 19, surrounded by her
family, after a courageous two year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Joseph
“Frank” Boucher, with whom she celebrated a 49th wedding anniversary this past April 12th.
She was born in Everett, on April 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Harold Wilcox and Blanche
(Savage)(Wilcox) Brisendine. She was raised in Medford and Tewksbury, and was a member of
the Tewksbury High School’s graduating class of 1957. In her earlier years, she was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, Wamesit Assembly # 88.
Mrs. Boucher’s career began as a school secretary at the Tewksbury Memorial High School. She
transferred to the Heath Brook School, and worked at the Loella F. Dewing School in North
Tewksbury, where she retired after sixteen years at that school alone.
She was a lifelong member of the Tewksbury Congregational Church.
“Patti” served as Club Treasurer of the Tewksbury Garden Club, and was well known for her
gardening and landscaping skills. She was also an accomplished seamstress.
Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and his wife
Marie (Parker) Boucher of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Lori-Ann Langell and her husband
Ronald of Westford; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dolores (Boucher) Smith and her
husband Robert Smith Jr. of Westford; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service was held Tuesday, May 22, in the Tewksbury
Congregational Church, in Tewksbury Center. Burial followed at
St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury.
