Fortier, of Bridgewater, May 17, 2007, Henry E. “The Colonel” Fortier, 76 years. Husband of the late Gloria E. (Humphreys) Fortier. Father of Mark Fortier of Bridgewater, Sharon Tozier and her husband John of Bridgewater and Michelle Rose and her husband James of Plymouth; grandfather of Alicia Morse of Plymouth.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Obituary Information

Mr. Fortier died Thursday evening at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Attleboro, he was raised and educated in Brockton, son of the late Henry W. and Alice K. (O’Connor) Fortier. He was a veteran of the Korean War who served in the Navy and had been employed as a lineman by New England Telephone Company for 30 years. He had been a longtime resident of Brockton, moving to Bridgewater in 1972. He was a longtime member of the Telecom Pioneers, 49r’s Club of Bridgewater and enjoyed all his friends at All Seasons Restaurant in West Bridgewater. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and enjoyed trips to Plymouth and Cape Cod.

He is survived by his son Mark Fortier of Bridgewater, two daughters Sharon Tozier and her husband John of Bridgewater and Michelle Rose and her husband James of Plymouth; one granddaughter Alicia Morse of Plymouth; one brother William Fortier of Nashua, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Gloria E. (Humphreys) Fortier
