Helen (Politis) Bolduc, 82, of New Bedford, died May 16, 2007 at Hathaway Manor after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Capt. Arthur Bernard Bolduc.
Born in Clinton, the daughter of the late Spiro and Amanda (Costakes) Politis, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
Mrs. Bolduc was formerly employed at Aerovox.
She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Ladies Philoptochos Society. She had served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
Survivors include three daughters, Amanda Diane Sansoucy and her husband Joseph of Westport, Deborah Bolduc of Salem, NH, and Christine Brungardt and her husband Christopher of Reading; four brothers, Christopher Politis and his wife Callie of Plantation, FL, George Politis and his wife Rhea of Hollywood, FL, Louis Politis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and John Politis and his wife Jo of Boca Raton, FL; five sisters, Sophie Chagaris of Tenafly, NJ, Pauline Gurnelos of Astoria, NY, Jane Stravropoulos of Tampa, FL, and Elizabeth Machado and Niki Desnoyers, both of Plantation, FL; five grandchildren, Sara Sansoucy and her husband Luis Noguez, Courtney Sansoucy, Philip Cobb, Benjamin Brungardt and Elizabeth Brungardt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late James Politis and Harriet Atsalis.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM in St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
