Sister of Josephine Turner of Newport, Rhode Island and the late Alex, Walter, Wanda, Helen and Chester. Cherished grandmother of Raymond Starkey, Jr., Gerald Syas and Deanna Lavada. Great grandmother of Crystal Starkey, Cassidy Lavada, Christopher Lavada, Lilly Rose and Arianna Syas. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Smith Funeral home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Friday morning, May 18th at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
Born in Chelsea and a lifelong resident, Sophie, at 85 years, passed away at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett after a brief illness. A devoted wife and mother, for a number of years worked for Chelsea Clock, she was also a member of the PAV Post 13 Womans Aux. and the Polish Falcons Nest #485.
