Mark Anthony Reed, 37, of New Bedford died Wednesday May 16, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Necole J. (Gomes) Reed.
Born in Barnwell, SC, the son of Marian (Owens) and Clyde Reed, Sr., of Williston, SC, he lived in Elko, SC for many years before moving to New Bedford seven years ago.
Mr. Reed was formerly employed as an auto detailer for A.J. Turner Auto and Marine.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; four children, Andrew Desrosiers of Fall River, and Mark Reed Jr., Alexis Miguel, and Faith Gomes, all of New Bedford; two brothers, Clyde Reed Jr. of Atlanta, and Steven Reed of South Carolina; and a sister, Christy Clemens of Florida.
