Laure J. Gagnon, 76, of Sunset Avenue, N. Providence, formerly of Smithfield, a retired electrician for General Dynamics, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of Doris A. (Jacques) Gagnon.
He was an Army veteran of Korea, a member of the Smithfield Sr. Center and a former manager and coach for Smithfield Little League.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters Rochelle M. Marchi of North Providence, Yvette A. Rosati of Palestine, TX, and Kimberly J. Jordan of North Providence, two brothers Raymond Gagnon of Lincoln and Maurice Gagnon of Woonsocket, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Robert P. Gagnon, and brother of the late Joseph, Claude, Eduard, Roland, and Yvette Gagnon.
Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10am in St. Ambrose Church, 191 School Street, Lincoln. Burial will follow in St. Ambrose Cemetery. Visitation respectfully omitted.
