Bridgewater - - June R. (Kelley) Holyoke, 81, of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at New England Sinai Hospital, Stoughton. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Holyoke Sr.
Born July 5, 1925, in East Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Etta M. (Wilde) Kelley.
Mrs. Holyoke had been a resident of Bridgewater for 20 years, coming from East Bridgewater, where she was raised and educated.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Holyoke was a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary Post 697 in Whitman and enjoyed embroidering.
She was a sports fan, especially of the Red Sox.
She was the wife of the late Edward C. Holyoke Sr.; mother of Arthur E. Holyoke of East Bridgewater, Edward C. Holyoke Jr. of Bridgewater, George L. Holyoke of Stoughton, Bradford J. Holyoke of Hebron, ME, and the late June R. Elwood. Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Saturday at 9:30 am. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 pm. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, E. Bridgewater.
