Obituary

WEBSTER/PHILADELPHIA, NY – Peter M. Lacerte, 47, of Philadelphia, NY, formerly of Webster, died Saturday, May 12, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY, where he had been a patient for the last month. He had been ill with liver failure.

He leaves his wife of 23 years, Lisa (Moberg) Lacerte; two daughters, Stephanie and Kirstie Lacerte; a son, Robert Lacerte, all of Philadelphia, NY; a granddaughter; his parents, Peter R. and Shirley (Nowicki) Lacerte of Webster; three sisters, Sharlene Lacerte of Portland, OR, Doreen Lacerte of Webster and Kelly, wife of Russell Tiffany of Thompson, CT; a brother, Scott Lacerte of Putnam, CT; several nephews and nieces.

He was born and raised in Webster. He graduated from Saint Louis High School and Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton. He married his wife Lisa in the Leicester Presbyterian Church on April 28, 1984. He moved to Philadelphia in 1990.

Mr. Lacerte was an ASME certified pipe welder. He first worked for the Electric Boat Company in Groton, CT and then at Bell Construction in New York, as well as at other sites in the midwest and eastern United States. He most recently worked for Lawman Construction, Sackets Harbor, NY, until becoming disabled about 18 months ago.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, May 21, at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. There are no local calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to the University of Rochester Transplant Program, Elmwood Street, PO Box Surgery, Rochester, NY 14642. Local funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
