WORCESTER-Roger F. Donoghue, 83, of Worcester, died Monday, May 14th in St. Vincent Hospital. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Gerard) Donoghue and a step-son Alan G. and his wife Theresa A. Nason of Holland.
He was born in Worcester, the son of John J. and Teresa (Dervin) Donoghue and served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Donoghue had been a repairman for New England Telephone, retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. John’s Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
The funeral is Thursday, May 17th, with a Liturgy of the Word at 10:00 AM in St. John’s Church 44 Temple Street. Burial will be in Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
