Larry Watson, Sr., 56, of Savannah, formerly of Tifton, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Hospice House of Savannah in Savannah. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Family members will give eulogies with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family and friends will be gathering at 3810 Aubrey Lane in Tifton after the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 17, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Watson was born on September 2, 1950 in Turner County and was the son of Marvin Watson and Lola Grimes Watson, both of Tifton. He was a sub-contractor and a painter.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Watson is survived by two sons, Larry Marvin Watson, Jr. of Virginia and James Watson of Alabama; four daughters, Angela Watson of Savannah, Lisa Watson of Tifton, Cristy Watson of Savannah and Jennifer Castleberry of Tifton; two brothers, Jerry Watson of Atlanta and Tony Watson of Tifton; two sisters, Elizabeth Temples of Tifton and Dianne Watson of Tifton; nine grandchildren, Kayla Darlene Clark, Ashley Lee Goldinger, Haley Dianne Clark, Alicia Jane Goldinger, Andrew Frank Watson, Robert Dewayne Castleberry, Jr., Ryan Allen Castleberry, Christopher Lee Castleberry and Cody Delane Castleberry; and one great granddaughter, Kristen Marie Hall.
