MILLBURY___Hedwig M. (Lopato) Lewandowski, 77, of Millbury, died Friday May 11, in her home.
She leaves her dedicated, loving husband of 56 years, Raymond J. Lewandowski, she also leaves a son, Stephen M. Lewandowski and his wife Maryanne of Deer Isle, ME., and three grandchildren, Emily Lewandowski of Boston, John Lewandowski of Jackson Hole, WY., and William Briggs of Camden, ME., and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda (Lewandowski) Briggs, a grand-daughter Valerie Briggs and a brother, Francis Lopato. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Joseph and Walentyna (Jasiulka) Lopato and has lived in Millbury for many years.
Mrs. Lewandowski was a homemaker. She graduated from St. Mary's High School, Worcester and attended Becker College. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15, from HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester,with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour in the funeral home will be Tuesday May 15, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
