Janice "Faye" Haire Dawson, 72, of Tifton, died Monday, May 14, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at the Church of God Campground Tabernacle in Tifton. Rev. Clarence Busby, Jr., Rev. Kevin Dawson, Rev. Ray Dawson, Rev. Phillip Kirkland and Rev. Billy Waldron, III will officiate with burial to follow in Union Grove Church of God Cemetery. Grandchildren and one of her siblings will present eulogies. Pallbearers will be Caleb Dawson, Bryan Busby, Wayne Haire, Tommy Haire, Terry Haire, Robert Haire. All ministers and their wives, who are in attendance, will serve as honorary pallbearers. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Dawson was born on December 26, 1934 in Colquitt (Miller County), Georgia and was the daughter of John Thomas "J. T." Haire and Treva Christine Lunsford Haire, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Grove Church of God. Ms. Dawson was truly a dedicated Christian and loved the Lord, her family and her friends.
Ms. Dawson is survived by her husband, Rev. Billy M. Dawson of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Ray Dawson and his wife, Pam, of Tifton, Kevin and Jamie Dawson of Rome; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Clarence Busby of Acworth; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Trish Haire of Atlanta, Terry and Hilda Haire of Attapulgas, Wayne and Diane Haire of Bainbridge, and Tommy and Peggy Haire of Quincy, Florida; one sister, Sherry Phillips of Tallahassee, Florida; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
