Leona P. Stoddard, 92, of Medway, died, Saturday, May 12, 2007 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home.
Born in North Bellingham on April 10, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Elroy G. and Mary Jane (Starling) Stoddard. Miss Stoddard was a resident of Medway since 1972 and formerly resided in Boston.
She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1933 and was a bookkeeper at the Lahey Hitchcock Clinic in the business office for 33 years, first in Boston and later retiring from the Burlington location in 1977.
Miss Stoddard was a member of the Community Church of West Medway, the International Order of the King’s Sons and Daughters of Medway and the Medway Friends of Elders. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Bega of Milford.
She is also survived by two nieces, Rosemary Bellacqua and Patricia Marcolini, both of Milford and four nephews, Robert Bega and James and Glenn Stoddard, all of Milford and Charles Stoddard of Middleboro. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews and her longtime dear friend, Esther Fox of Medway.
She was a sister of the late Charles W. and E. Guy Stoddard.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, May 16 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at the Community Church of West Medway, 193 Main St. in Medway.
Burial will take place privately at Evergreen Cemetery in West Medway at a later date.
