Laurent P. Dandeneau Sr. 90, formerly of Prospect St. died Saturday at the Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge. He was the husband of the late Jeanne (Trinque) Dandeneau. He was born in St. Damien de Brandon P.Q. Canada, a son of the late Gaspard and Marieau (Duval) Dandeneau.
Mr. Dandeneau was a WWII Army veteran serving in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, Central Europe, and Africa. He was the recipient of five Service Stars
Mr. Dandeneau worked as a painter for GM for thirty years, retiring in 1982.
He was a loving and dedicated father and is survived by a son Laurent Dandeneau Jr. of Blackstone, and two daughters; Joyce Darling of Blackstone, and Sharon Richardson of Harrisville, eight grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Mr. Dandeneau was the brother of the late: Conrad, Victor, Romeo, William, and Fred Dandeneau, and was also the brother of the late; Grace Hall, Rosa Labonte, Marie Dandeneau, and Rose Lamoureux.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at St. Augustine’s Church in Millville. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Tuesday 6-8pm.
