Julia M. (Pedro) Moretti, 84 died Friday May 11th at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Mario Moretti, Sr., of East Bridgewater.
Born in Lakeville and brought up in Bridgewater, daughter of the late Thomas and Mercy (Westgate) Pedro.
Julia was a graduate of Bridgewater High, Class of 1941.
She has been a resident of East Bridgewater for 60 years. She worked as a factory worker for the Bridgewater Co-Operative Shoe for many years.
Julia was a very devoted mother and grandmother and she also enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband, Mario, she is survived by her children, Mario Moretti, Jr. and his wife Judith, Judy Ann Kasparian, both of East Bridgewater and Sandra Arena and her husband James of Hanson; her brother Thomas Pedro of Bridgewater, her sister ;Bessie Jones of Halifax ;also 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
Her services will be held on Wednesday May 16th at 10:00 A.M. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman. Burial will follow in the Central Cemetery, East Bridgewater, MA. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday May 15th, 4:00-8:00 P.M.
