Jordana Leigh Cassidy, 21 of Medway died May 10 at the Bay State Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Framingham on August 13, 1985, the daughter of John and Linda (Greenfield) Cassidy, Miss Cassidy was a lifelong Medway resident.
She was a 2003 graduate of Medway High School and was to graduate on Saturday from Westfield State College with a degree in Psychology.
At Medway High School, she was a member of the field hockey team and a peer mediator.
During her years at Westfield, she taught aerobics and had been a volunteer in New Orleans over the Christmas break for Habitat for Humanity helping to rebuild homes for those impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
During her summer breaks she worked at Mickey Cassidy’s Restaurant in Medway.
Jordana loved to write, read, and dance and to help others.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Kara J. Cassidy, Brynn A. Cassidy, Meghan B. Cassidy and a brother, John M. Cassidy all of Medway. She is also survived by her grandparents, Eileen Cassidy of Medway and Daniel and Rita Greenfield of West Yarmouth and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and classmates in Medway and Westfield State College .
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 15 from the Ginley_Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Village Street in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
