Walter G. Lauzon 86, of Rockland Ave. died Wednesday in Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of Rita (Boisvert) Lauzon. Mr. Lauzon was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Gideon and Mary (McMahon) Lauzon. He was a postal clerk for the Woonsocket US Post Office for twenty years retiring in 1981. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Mr. Lauzon was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Walter Lauzon of Greenville, SC. and James Lauzon of Bridgewater, MA, two daughters Suzanne Edge of Cumberland, and Lorraine Roderick of Woonsocket, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Shirley Rice.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am., in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Assoc.
