Lynes, of N. Waterboro, ME, May 9, 2007, Thomas J. Lynes, 55 years. Loving husband of Donna L.(Tauber) Lynes; devoted father of Stacy E. Lynes of Brighton, MA and Kimberly M. Lynes of N. Waterboro, ME. Brother of Rev. James F. Lynes, Jr. of Clute, TX, Elizabeth A. Lynes and Mary Ellen Lynes both of Walpole, MA.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday at 10am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting Hours Sunday 1-5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tom may be made to his brother’s parish, St. Jerome’s Church, 107 N. Obituary Information

Thomas J. Lynes, age 55 of N. Waterboro, ME, formerly of Ogunquit, ME, died suddenly on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at Maine Medical Center as a result of a heart condition. Loving husband to his wife of 25 years, Donna L. (Tauber) Lynes and devoted father to his two daughters, Stacy E. Lynes of Brighton, MA, Kimberly M. Lynes, of N. Waterboro, ME. He is also survived by his brother, Rev. James F. Lynes Jr. of Clute, TX, his sisters, Elizabeth A. Lynes and Mary Ellen Lynes of Walpole, MA along with many extended family members and friends. Born in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late James F. and M. Christine (McCarthy) Lynes. Sr. He grew up on the East Side of Brockton, MA and graduated from Cardinal Spellman High School and Westfield State College. Most recently, he was employed by the State of New Hampshire as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Tom worked in youth services for most of his life which included many years at Somersworth Group Home and Odyssey House in New Hampshire, as a house parent with his wife Donna at the Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania and at the Home for Little Wanderer’s in Walpole, MA, where he met his wife. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing and coaching baseball, as well as being a competitive golfer and cribbage player. He loved traveling with his family, most recently to California, Colorado and New Zealand.
