Catherine A. “Kay” Hawkins, 90 of Medford formerly of Charlestown died Saturday after a long illness in the Courtyard Nursing Care Center Medford.
Born in Boston, she lived in Medford for the past 60 years and formerly of Charlestown and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Melinda (McDonald) Ryan.
Catherine was a Wrapper and Packer, for 15 years at the former Schraffts Candy Factory and retired in 1977.
Beloved wife of the late Lewis L. Devoted mother of Francis Hawkins of Weymouth, and William Hawkins of Billerica. Also survived by 10 loving grandchildren and 16 loving great grandchildren. Survived by brothers Edward T., Charles L., Bernard T. Ryan all of Charlestown.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Monday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
