Mrs. Channie McCollins, 87, passed away on May 7, 2007 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - NMS in Oxford, MS. She was born in Oakland, MS to the late Lewis & Bertha Jones Clark. She was a retired beautician and a member of Robison Chapel AME Church in Oakland, MS.
The visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS on Friday, May 11, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Spring Hill North MB Church in Water Valley, MS on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mitchell Steen presiding. The committal will be held in the Spring Hill North Cemetery on HWY 32 West with Eric Brown, Dustin Brown, Terence Brown, Hosea Cruze, Brandon Carr, & Tony Hoskins serving as pallbearers. Honorary bearers are Keith Carr, Kevin Carr, Tony Austin, Chris Patterson, & Bryan Mix.
Mrs. McCollins is survived by three daughters, Teresa Carr of Water Valley, MS, Maxine Carthon of Jacksonville, NC, & Maggie Brown of Water Valley, MS; a son, Hosea Bradford of Water Valley, MS; 22 grandchildren; & 40 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warrie McCollins; daughter, Mary A. Campbell; son, William McCollins, Jr.; sisters, Rebbie Booker, Robertha Chambers, & Lethia Clark; & brothers, Lewis Clark, George Clark, Bud Clark, & Sonny Clark.
