
ESSEX: Rosemarie M. (Ragusa) Parsons, 49, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
Born in Gloucester on April 12, 1958, she was the daughter of Ethel M. (Carroll) Ragusa of Gloucester and the late Charles B. Ragusa. She had resided in Gloucester most of her life before moving to Essex ten years ago.
Rose was employed as a dental assistant for several years. For the past two years she owned and operated Essex Pet Wear. She also recently received her real estate appraiser license.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Rachael M. Parsons and her fiancé, Dr. James Sorrento, of Ipswich, a son, David L. Parsons and his companion, Caitlin Flynn, of Essex, two grandsons, Stephen Moniz and Anthony Sorrento, her former spouse, Donald R. Parsons of Gloucester, a dear friend, Patrick Keough of Essex, five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Frances and John Carollo, Angela and Frank Fulford and Joanne Ragusa all of Gloucester, Marianne and Robert Paradis, Jr. of Rockport and Patricia and Joseph Mastrorio of Peabody, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank Ragusa and Stephen and Maria (Parco) Ragusa all of Gloucester and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and William Ragusa.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday in the Holy Family Parish, St. Ann Church, Gloucester at 9 A.M. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice. Interment will be held in the Calvary Cemetery.
