Obituary



Charlton – Louis J. Draper, 73, died on Monday, May 7th in Memorial Hospital after an illness.

Mr. Draper leaves three daughters, Gloria A. Draper and her longtime companion Robert A. Benoit of Charlton, Diane M. Nia and her husband Mohammed of Worcester and Luanne J. Martell and her husband Paul of Shrewsbury; three granddaughters Ashley, Hailey and Abigail; his former wife Virginia (Brown) Draper; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves a very close friend Jeff who was like a son to him as well as close friends Kenny, Linda, Peter, Julie, Jeanne and Hannah.

Mr. Draper was born in Waterbury, CT son of the late Jettie and Stella Draper. He is also predeceased by three brothers Roy, James & Raymond Draper.

He was a maintenance worker for many years at the Hicks Management Group before his retirement. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Draper enjoyed trips to the casino, reading and drawing and adored his three daughters and granddaughters.

The funeral will be held on Friday, May 11th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday May 10th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham MA 01701.
