Mrs. Constance E. Roche, age 73, of Woburn died May 6th at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife for 52 years of Thomas J. Roche. Born in Arlington she was the daughter of the late Harold and Miriam (Hendrick) Cahalin.
Mrs. Roche was a devoted homemaker and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. In her leisure time she loved golfing and was a member of the Woburn Country Club for many years. She also enjoyed gardening and was active with the Winchester Garden Club. Mrs. Roche loved socializing with her friends and also served as a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program.
In addition to her beloved husband, She is survived by her children, Kevin C. Roche and his wife Lisa of Woburn, Tom J. Roche Jr. and his wife Natalie of Wilton, CT, Michael D. Roche of Littleton, Julieanne Williams and her husband Cameron of Manchester, Amy Melanson and her husband Michael of Reading. She is also survived by twelve loving grandchildren and is further survived by her brothers, Phillip Cahalin of Scituate and Donald Cahalin of Arlington Heights, IL.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St. Reading, MA 01867.
