Obituary

E. Bridgewater- Leo P. Picard, 87, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Bridgewater, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, at home. He was the husband of Lucille (Brisson) Picard.

Born Sept. 17, 1919, in Dartmouth, he was the son of the late Charles Z. and Margaret (Cote) Picard.

He had been a resident of East Bridgewater for the past 3 years, coming from Bridgewater, where he lived for many years.

Mr. Picard worked at Tilcon, a road construction company, for 48 years, retiring in 1983 as president

He was a member of St. John Church in East Bridgewater.

Mr. Picard was also a member of the 100 Club, Plymouth County Highway Assoc., Massachusetts Highway Assoc., and Norfolk-Bristol Highway Assoc.
He enjoyed golf, gardening and grilling.

Husband of Lucille (Brisson); father of Leo “Butch” Picard Jr. and his wife Ann of Marshfield, Patricia Short and her husband Robert of East Bridgewater and Deborah Wentworth and her husband Scott of Sparia, NJ. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Friday at 9:15 am. Funeral Mass in St. John Church, East Bridgewater, at 10. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm. Donations may be made to Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
