Bridgewater - Florence (Chamberlain) Henrickson, 80, of Bridgewater, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Middleboro. She was the wife of Robert Henrickson.
Born April 29, 1927, in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Daisy (Collett) Chamberlain.
Raised in Boston, she was a graduate of Malden High School and attended Lincoln Prep and Northeastern University.
Mrs. Henrickson was a director of Elder Affairs for the Town of Bridgewater for 21 years, retiring in 1998.
She was a member of the Gamman’s Methodist Church in Bridgewater, where she formed the Auntie Bean Circle.
Mrs. Henrickson had been a resident of Bridgewater since 1949.
She enjoyed reading poetry, word puzzles and arts and crafts.
She was the wife of Robert; mother of Robert Henrickson of Somerville, S.C., and Kurtis Henrickson of Alexandria, VA; stepmother of Lee Robert Henrickson of Brockton; twin sister of the late Henry Leon Chamberlain. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater, Monday at 12:30 pm. Visiting hour in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, prior to service, 11 am to 12 pm.
