LOWELL, MA - Michael F. Burns, 58, lifelong resident of Lowell, MA died Friday May 4, 2007 unexpectedly as a result of a boating accident. He was the devoted husband of Adonica L. Burns to whom he was married for 35 years
He was born in Lowell on April 12, 1949, son of the late Rudolphe E. and Therese E. Burns.
He was a graduate of Lowell High School in 1967.
Mr. Burns served in the United States Air Force from July 1968 to July 1972.
He was employed as an administrator at Raytheon for 38 years. He was and avid fisherman and loved sports. he will be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit. His first love, however, unquestionably his family and the upcoming birth of his three grandchildren in 2007.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law: Erica and Paul Perrer of Des Allemandes, LA; Terri and Patrick Cassidy of Germantown, MD; and Christy and Joseph Venskus of Hudson, NH; two sisters Carol A. Burns of Hudson, NH, and Nancy L. Boisvert of Merrimack, NH; a brother Randall Burns of Dracut, MA; a brother-in-law Stephen Huffman and his wife Loretta Huffman of Oneonta, NH; and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, family, and devoted comanion, his dog Sable.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Monday from 3 until 8p.m. . His Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11a.m., with cremation to follow.
