WORCESTER-Elizabeth A. (Fullen) Benoit, 67, of Worcester, died Saturday, May 5th in her home. She leaves her husband of 44 years Richard A. Benoit; her daughter, Kathleen M. wife of Frederic Baker of Holden; 2 sons, Michael R. and his wife Lucinda Benoit of Holden and Andrew J. Benoit of Worcester; 4 brothers, Thomas J. Fullen, Jr. and his wife Jacquelyn, and David J. and his wife Elaine Fullen all of Auburn, Francis X. and his wife Joan Fullen and Daniel Fullen all of Worcester; a sister Bernadine U. and her husband Wilton Dale of Attleboro; 7 grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Thomas and Timothy Baker, Lindsay, Paige and Eric Benoit. Her infant son Paul F. Benoit and 2 sisters, Mary F. Simmons and Patricia H. Couture predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Thomas J. and Frances T. (Emco) Fullen and was a graduate of Commerce High School. Mrs. Benoit had worked for many years as a self employed painting and wall papering contractor. She especially loved her grandchildren and time spent with them and will be remembered as a gracious neighborhood hostess. Mrs. Benoit was a member of Christ the King Parish and its Woman’s Guild.
The funeral is Tuesday, May 8th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, May 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Abby's House, Inc., 57 High Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
