LEICESTER: Albert C. Locke,Jr.,72, of 10 Crestwood Rd., died Friday, May 4
at his home.
He leaves his wife of 23 years, Janice D. (Goyette) Locke, his mother
Dorothy (Reopel) Locke of Worcester, two sons Albert C. Locke, III and his
wife Susan of Woodstock, Ct., and Brian S. Cooper and his wife Lisa of
Leicester, five daughters Jane M. Poirier and her husband Richard of
N.Grosvenordale,Ct., Sandra L. Bartolomei and her husband Christopher of
Dudley, Deborah A. Peloquin and her husband James of N.Grosvenordale, Ct.,
Sherry A. Cooper and Christine M. True and her husband John all of
Leicester, a sister Ada Stover of Worcester, 14 grand children, 3 great
grand children, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Locke was a sales representative for National Tobacco, servicing the New
England area for over 15 years, retiring in 1998.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Albert C. Locke, Sr. and
graduated from South High and later Becker College both in Worcester. He was
an avid sportsman and a former member of the Auburn and Rutland Sportsman's
Clubs. A devoted husband, son, brother, father, and grandfather, his family
will miss him dearly.
Funeral Services for Al will be held Tuesday, May 8 at 10a.m. in the
MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in
Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 7 from
5 to 7p.m. in the funeral home.
