Elizabeth B. (Bitautas) Lacey, 89 years old, a life long resident of Lawrence, MA., passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 1, 2007.
She was born on August 3rd, 1917 and was educated in Lawrence, Massachusetts, She is the daughter of the late Joseph Bitautas and the late Elizabeth Moralis. She worked for Western Electric in North Andover, MA. for over 30 years, until her retirement. She was an avid bingo player, she was loved by many, and her friends will sadly miss her. She belonged to the Arlington Social Club in Lawrence, MA.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
Her burial will follow at the Lithuanian National Cemetery in Methuen, MA.

Betty Lacey, 89 years old and a lifelong resident of Lawrence MA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 1, 2007. Betty was born on August 3, 1917 and was educated in Lawrence schools. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Bitautas and the late Elizabeth Moralis. Betty was the mother of William Lacey and Janet Lacey who predeceased her at ages 3 and 5 from a tragic New Years Eve fire 1944. Betty is survived by her closest niece, friend, confidant and caretaker, Joan Sereigo McGuire of Lawrence.
Betty worked at CBS Hytron, Bolta Rubber and lastly at Westin Electric for 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed bingo and going to picnics with her family and enjoyed playing cards at local social clubs and was a member of the Arlington Social Club.
Betty was also survived by many friends and relatives. Betty will be sadly missed by her close nieces and nephews Richard Wareing of Litchfield, NH, Charles Wareing of Ohio, James Sereigo-Wareing and Glenn Wareing of Methuen, Diane Forrester, Denise Clegg and Karen Beard of Lawrence and Linda Kental of NY. She was also predeceased by her god child Michael Wareing who passed away in 2005.
We would also like to acknowledge her caretakers and close friends Gail and Edward King of Lawrence who we appreciate all the care they gave Betty throughout the years and also friends Helen Voss, Winefred Guilfoyle, and Margeret Doucette.
Betty will be missed by all who knew her and we will miss her quick wit, humor and affection for others.
