Obituary

Brighton, Massachusetts-Linda Ann (Reed) Shute-Davis, 59, of 10 Bellamy Street, Brighton, died Wednesday afternoon, May 2nd 2007 at Presentation Nursing Home in Brighton, Massachusetts after a lengthy illness.

Linda was born in Laconia, on April 21, 1948. She was raised and schooled in Belmont, graduating from Belmont High School in 1967. She lived most of her life in Meredith.

Linda was employed at Annalee Dolls, Inc. in Meredith in the Art Department where she air brushed the faces and created the expressions known and seen world wide. She had also worked at Freudenberg NOK in Bristol for several years as a press operator.

Linda was very artistically inclined which was evident in her skill and love for drawing. She also enjoyed arts & crafts, playing the guitar, autoharp, banjo, and organ. Her love for life and laughter was always seen through her practical jokes, and telling a great joke. Even during her most trying times she would always ask, “do you have a joke for me?”

Linda is predeceased by her father, Harold L. Reed, and her first husband, Eugene J. Shute in 1975.

Linda is survived by her two daughters, Kelly J. Shute and her companion Rob Krajci of Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Angela H. Davis of San Antonio, Texas; her mother Isabella M. (Allard) Reed of Belmont; her siblings, Donna Marden of Gilford, Brenda Legassie and her husband Dick of Belmont, Thomas Reed and his wife Rhondi of Belmont, Michael Reed and his wife Pamela of Belmont, Marsha Harnish and her husband Stephen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Debra Reed of Andover, New Hampshire. Many nieces and nephews also survive Linda.

Visiting hours were held on Sunday, May 6th, 2007 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday May 7th, 2007 at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue at 11:30 a.m. Reverend Adrien R. Longchamps, pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot at Village Cemetery, Route 3, Meredith, NH.
