Lucille R. Ravenelle, 86, of Theresa St., Woonsocket, died Monday at Mt. St. Francis Home. She was the wife of the late Bertram R. Ravenelle.
Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Parmelia (Lussier) Dupre.
Mrs. Ravenelle was a jewelry worker for the Whiting & Davis Co. for many years, before retiring in 1982.
During her retirement years, Lucille volunteered her time at Landmark Medial Center. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe, and spending time with her beloved dog, Muffin. She was a longtime communicant of St. Joseph’s Church.
She is survived by a son, Bertram R. Ravenelle, Jr. of Plainville, a daughter Carolyn Vanasse, of Bellingham, and two granddaughters, Amy Ravenelle, of North Kingstown, and Nicole Vanasse, of Blackstone. She was the sister of Gloria Canale, of Cumberland, Muriel Gaulin, of VA, Georgette Kurzon, of FL, and the late Edward, Joseph “Pete”, and Raymond Dupre, and Doris Daddario.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:30 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland. St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
