David Brett Walker Jr., age 70, of 48 Middlefield Street, Groton Long Point, passed away early Monday morning at his home.
David was born in Norwich. He attended the Norwich Free Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy, as well as the University of Connecticut. He was a member of the Merchant Marines and Honorably Discharged from the Navy where he served proudly on the first nuclear submarine the Nautilus. He is survived by his two brothers: Lance and Jeffery, his two sons: David the third and Scott, and three grandchildren: Morgan, Madison and David the fourth.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 4 - 7pm. A Graveside Funeral Service with military honors will be conducted at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Friday at 11am.
