Obituary

DANVERS - Alfred T. Wark, age 101, of Danvers, formerly of Westford, died Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the Heritage at Danvers following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Chandonait) Wark and the late Ethel (Berlin) Wark.

Born in Lyndonville, Vermont, he was the son of the late Thomas & Thais (Caswell) Wark.

Prior to his retirement in 1971, he was an engineer at Raytheon in Newton, where he was employed for over 25 years.

Mr. Wark was a resident of Westford until his retirement and served as a water commissioner for 20 years. From the early 1990's until 2003, he established residences in Port Hood, Nova Scotia, New Smyrna, Florida and Hilton Head, South Carolina. In 2003, he returned to Massachusetts where he settled in Danvers.

He is survived by one son, Donald T. Wark of Salem, 5 grandchildren, Thomas Wark of Moscow, Russia, Stephen Wark of Shrewsbury, Elizabeth Wark of Evans, GA, Lt. Col. Lawrence Wark, US Army, of Columbia SC, Andrew Wark of Salem and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother, Jay Wark, and his longtime companion, Anne Eisenberger.

Private funeral service were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem.
