SUZANNE (BOHAIN) FORD, a Hingham resident for many years, died on Sunday, April 29th, 2007 at the home of her daughter, Jacqueline Timmons in Sykesville, Maryland after a long illness. She was 79. She was born in Paris, France on July 30, 1927 and was the daughter of Clotaire and Georgette Bohain. Suzanne grew up and was educated in Versailles, and later worked at Lanvin, a company in France. She was the wife of the late Francis "Franny" Ford whom she met while he was in the United States Army serving in France, becoming a war bride on September 8, 1945. She was a frequent traveller and enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities and handicrafts.
She was the mother of Michael Ford and his wife Linda of Hingham, Jacqueline Timmons and her husband Kevin of Sykesville, Maryland, and Peter Ford of Bellows Falls, Vermont. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren..
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 3rd at 11 AM at St. Paul's Church, 147 North St., Hingham Square.
Visiting hours and flowers omitted by family request. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Carroll Hospice's Dove House, 272 Stoner Ave., Westminister, MD 21157.
The interment will be in the High Street Cemetery, Hingham.
