Obituary

LEICESTER; Herbert E. Small, Jr., 81, of 37 Crestwood Rd., died Thursday,
April 26 at Memorial Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, M. Elizabeth (Wetherbee) Small, her adopted
son, Theodore Skaar and his wife Mary Lou of Saugerties, N.Y., two
grandsons; Christopher E. Skaar and his wife Christine of Long Island, N.Y.,
Jeffrey R. Skaar of Manhattan, N.Y., two great-granddaughters and extended
family as well.
Born in Medford, MA., he was the son of Herbert E. & Minnie May (White)
Small, Sr.
Mr. Small was a machinist for 25 years at Sleeper & Hartley Co. in
Worcester, retiring in 1991. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and
Worcester Community College. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist
Church in Worcester and the Hayden Lodge AF&AM. He was a Navy veteran of WW
II and Korea. He was past commander of the former General Charles Devens
Post 282.
A funeral service will be Monday, April 30 at 11 a.m. in Wesley United
Methodist Church, 114 Main St., Worcester. There are no calling hours.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.

Restoration Fund, 114 Main St., Worcester, MA. 01608. The MORRISON-MORIN
FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., are directing arrangements.
