Mary G. Harbottle, RR Olyphant, Scott Township, died Sunday morning at the VNA Hospice Inpatient Unit at Moses Taylor Hospital following an illness. She was the widow of James Harbottle, who died Sept. 23, 2005.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Edward J. and Olwen Shanley Hoyes, she was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, Olyphant, and attended the University of Scranton. Before her illness, she was employed by PNC Bank. A member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Olyphant, she loved her animals and enjoyed traveling and cooking.
Surviving are a son, Jamie, Dickson City; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in SS. Cyril and Methodius Church. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Blakely.
