Obituary

WORCESTER___Joseph T. “Joziu”, “Dziadzi”, Mikolajczyk, 80, of Worcester, died Friday April 27, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Virginia (Stoklosa) Mikolajczyk, two daughters, Carol DiLeo and her husband, Damian of Millbury and Janine Stuczko and her husband, Edward of Oxford; a brother, John Mikolajczyk of Worcester; three sisters, Adele Dymek, Theresa Girouard and Eleanor Lambert, all of Worcester and two grandchildren, Brandon Stuczko and Stephanie Stuczko. He was predeceased by two sisters, Emily Wisniewski and Jane Mita. He was born in Worcester, a son of Felix and Emily (Miszkiel) Mikolajczyk and lived here all his life.

Mr. Mikolajczyk was a glazer and retired from Harding Glass Company in 1988. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic - Pacific Theatre. Joseph was a member of the Polish American Veterans of World War II. He was also a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m. in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, of Central Massachusetts, 35 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA, 01609.
