Obituary

Clarence F. Levesque, age 62, died Saturday, April 28th at his home in Lowell, surrounded by his family, after an extended illness. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne M. (Roy) Levesque with whom he would have celebrated a 38th wedding anniversary in August.
He was born in Van Buren, Maine, the son of Cecile (Gagnon) Levesque of Van Buren, who survives him, and the late Claude Levesque. Mr. Levesque resided in Lowell for over 38 years and attended St. Joseph High School. He also lived in Rochester, NH and Connecticut. He was a communicant of the former Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish and more recently with St. Margaret Parish in Lowell.
Prior to his illness, Mr. Levesque was employed with Skip's Restaurant in Chelmsford for over 38 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, golfing, gardening, playing cards, going to flea markets and spending time with family.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Steven Bouchard of Pelham, NH; a son, Robert Levesque and his fiancee, Jessica Quirk, of Sudbury; two grandsons, Steven Bouchard, Jr. and Evan Bouchard of Pelham; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Percy Gagnon of New York, Rolande and Delton Vaillancourt of New York; Terrie Rodrigue and Vincent Goforth of Dracut, and Georgette Levesque and Berthand Lacasse of Canada; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Claire Levesque of Dracut; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Ronald Freitas of Lowell, Lillian and James Bernier of Lowell, Roger and Louise Roy of Hudson, NH and Paul and Penny Roy of Manchester, NH; also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Roger Levesque and son-in-law of the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Roy.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, on Tuesday, May 1st, from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Wednesday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 am at St. Margaret Church. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Saints Medical Cancer Center, 2 Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852.
