Margaret A. (McGrath) Melo, 79 of Franklin, died Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence of Wayside Hospice in Wayland. She was the wife of Salvatore Melo who died in 1977.
Born in Boston on November 2, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Roma (Meyer) McGrath.
Mrs. Melo was a resident of Franklin since 1950 and formerly resided in Norwood.
She graduated from Norwood High School and was a homemaker for most of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Laura Cornell and her husband, Steve of Natick, two grandchildren, Samantha Cornell of Natick and Scott Cornell of Framingham, a sister, Mildred McGrath of Natick, a brother, Walter McGrath of Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private at the request of her family and burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin.
