Irene A. (Nasson) Regan 73, died Friday in her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Attorney Denis Regan of Whitman.
Born and bought up in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Natalie (Apostol) Nasson. She was a graduate of the Boston Schools, she also attended the New England Conservatory of Music, Northeastern University, from which she received a certificate in Paralegal Studies.
Irene has been a resident of Whitman for fifty years, where she worked at her husband’s law office Attorney Regan, as a paralegal and she was also a Justice of the Peace. Along with her husband, she was co-owner of the Golf City in West Bridgewater.
She was a communicant of the Holy Ghost Church, as well as the organist for many years, also played the organ for the St. George Albanian Orthodox Church in Boston.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Caroline Whitney of Abington, her 2 brothers, Ronald Nasson of Boston, Edward Nasson of Dedham and her 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Catherine Whitney; many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late David Regan
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday May 1st at 9:15 A.M. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, MA, followed by a funeral mass in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, MA., at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman, MA. Visiting hours will be held Monday April 30th 2-4 & 7-9.
