Obituary

Richard A. Bolton, 74, of Dartmouth died Wednesday April 25, 2007 after a short illness at Hathaway Manor. He was the husband of Judith Mahon Bolton; they would have been married for 50 years in June.

Richard was born in Andover to the late Gladys (Oesting) and Wright Bolton Jr. He was a graduate of Tabor Academy and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He served in the United States Army from May 1956 to February 1958 at Fort Clayton in Panama. He taught for the Dartmouth school system for thirty years and was the golf coach for Dartmouth High School for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard A. and his wife Cathleen, of Trumbull, Conn., and Russell A. of Dartmouth; a brother, Wright Bolton III of New Bedford; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth of Trumbull and his special grandsons, Ian and Luke Mandly and their parents Kathleen and James Mandly of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, with burial to follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 2:30-6:00PM.
