Syble Inez Sutherland Dickey, age 81, of Water Valley, MS, passed away in the Yalobusha General Hospital on Tuesday evening, April 24, 2007. The daughter of the late Robert Chester and Birdie Zelma Dickey Sutherland, she was married to Orvil Doke Dickey and was a member of Mt Liberty Church in Calhoun County, MS. Mrs. Dickey was retired from Holley Carburetor in Water Valley
Visitation for Mrs. Dickey will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Thursday evening, April 26, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Mt Liberty Church on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ed Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with; Jason Sharp, Jonathan Sharp, Jamie Bell, Jeremy Dickey and Corey Dickey serving as pallbearers.
In addition the her loving husband Doke Dickey, Ms Syble is survived by her children and their spouses; Grady and Jeanette Dickey of Southlake, TX, Steve Dickey of Water Valley, MS and Janice and Charles Sharp of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Ruby Barlow of Water Valley, MS; seven grandchildren, Marla Bell, Amanda May, Jason Sharp, Jonathan Sharp, Jeremy Dickey, Corey Dickey and Stephanie Dickey; 10 great grandchildren; Harley, Carson and Collin Sharp, Andrew and Ashley Farmer, Shattuck and Ransome Bell, Megan and Matt May and Layne Sharp.
Preceding Mrs. Dickey in death in addition to her parents, were two brothers; Toy Sutherland and Russell Sutherland.
