LOWELL—Frank L. Carr, a resident of the Highlands section of Lowell, died November 11th, at Sunbridge for Concord Nursing Center.
He was born in Lowell, on December 11, 1913, a son of the late Frank H. and Sarah (Hunt) Carr, and was a graduate of St. Peter’s Grammar School and Keith Academy. He also attended classes at Northeastern and M.I.T.
Mr. Carr was a veteran and served in the United States Army during World War II. He had been employed as a Material Engineer and Metallurgist for the Army Materials Mechanics Research Center, in Watertown, for over 26 years and the National Research Center for five years.
Mr. Carr was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church. He was a musician and played saxophone and clarinet in Frankie Carr’s Cavaliers.
Surviving him are numerous cousins.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 13th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday, November 14th, at 9 AM at ST. MARGARET’S CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
