John Joseph Walsh, III. Age 36. Residence 12 Rolling Green Dr., Fall River, MA. Died Tuesday at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA. Son of John Joseph Walsh, Jr. and Jean (Mc Grady) Mesa. Stepson of Letitia (Tourgee) Walsh. Paternal Grandson of Mary C. Walsh and the late John Joseph Walsh, Sr. Maternal Grandson of the late Edward and Lucy Mc Grady. He was a Fall River resident for 4 years previously residing in Swansea and Somerset. He received an Associate Degree from Bristol Community College. He was a graduate of Somerset High School. He last worked as a Correction Officer for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office for 8 years.
Besides his Father and Step-Mother of Swansea, his Mother of Fall River and his Grandmother of Somerset, he is survived by Four Brothers: James E. Walsh of Fall River, MA, Christopher E. Dyson of Swansea, MA, Patrick C. Walsh of Swansea, MA and Daniel R. Walsh of Swansea, MA.
His PRIVATE funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Friday with PRIVATE visitation from 8-9:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Holy Name Church, Hanover St. at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association both of 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688
