Obituary

Mr. Gilberto Lozada, age 73, of Lowell, died Sunday morning, April 15th at Lowell General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico on June 27th, 1933, son of the late Juan Lozada & Carmen Rivera.
Mr. Lozada served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Raytheon in the Machine Shop for 22 years.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law: Henry & Luz Lozada of Lowell, Jose A. Lozada of Texas, and Joey Lozada of Lowell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ivelisse Lozada and her husband Bernard a. Adderley of Oklahoma, Aileen Matos and her husband Antonio Morrero of Lowell; two brothers: Ismael Mercado of Puerto Rico, and Wilfredo Baez of Florida; a sister: Maria Lozada of Puerto Rico; also many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; many nieces & nephews including a dear niece, Milagros Perez of CA
He was the father of the late Gilberto Lozada, Jr..
Visitation will take place at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St.,Lowell, on TUESDAY from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral Wednesday morning with a Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Patrick Church (at a time to be announced). Interment is private. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association or Cancer Society, 20-30 Speen St.,Framingham, MA 01701.
