Providenza “Provie” Cicerone, 85 of Somerville, died Sunday after a brief illness in the Lexington Health Care Center, Lexington, MA.
Born in Boston, she has lived in Somerville for the last 24 years and was the daughter of the late Grace (Aiello) and Salvatore Lovasco.
Providenza was a Stitcher, at the former Cameron Sportwear in Boston for 16 years and retired in 1977.
Beloved wife of the late Salvatore P. “Sam” Cicerone. Devoted mother of Grace Simboli of Somerville, and Lucille Frontera of East Boston. Loving grandmother of Cynthia Grieco, Andrea Binger, Jodi Simboli, and Jim Frontera. Loving great grandmother of Lea Grieco, Edward Cherubin, Braden Binger. Sister of Paula Carcia of Medford, John Lovasco of East Boston, Sebastian Lovasco of Byfield, and Catherine Farinella of Somerville.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday evening at 7 pm.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8.
Interment private.
