Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Vivian O. (Timm) Hedetniemi, 87, died Saturday, April 21, 2007 in the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gloucester following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Albert Hedetniemi who died in January of 2000. They were married in 1944.
Born in Gloucester on December 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Ida A. (Benson) Timm. A lifelong resident of Gloucester, she was a graduate of Gloucester High School class of 1937 and attended the Essex Agricultural and Technical School.
Vivian was an active member of the Trinity Congregational Church for over fifty years. She was also a member of the Gloucester High School class of 1937 reunion committee for many years and was active in the Girl Scouts and P.T.A.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons-in-law, Carol A. and Martin Heim of Nokesville, VA and Albert Deveau of Manassas, VA, three grandchildren, Lisa and her husband, Tony Carullo of Chicago, IL, Tracy Whelan of Covina, CA and Regan O’Donnell of Fredericksburg, VA, three great-grandchildren, Kevin Whelan, Nicholas Carullo and Avery O’Donnell and several nieces and nephews, including, David Hedetniemi of Gloucester. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Eileen N. Deveau and a grandson, Jason C. Heim.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27th in the Seaside Cemetery, Lanesville at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Trinity Congregational Church, 70 Middle St., Gloucester, MA 01930 or to the charity of one’s choice.
